On May 27th, 2020, Emkiro Health Services returned to the front lines, providing emergency chiropractic care to patients after being shut down for over two months due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Rallying together, our team put all their energy towards ensuring a safe environment for all patients and staff to return for the essential healthcare services Emkiro provides.
On June 8th, we further opened its doors to welcome patients for all services, including chiropractic, physiotherapy, registered massage therapy, acupuncture, custom orthotics and virtual naturopathic medicine.
At Emkiro Health Services, health and safety is at the foundation of our work. In response to the pandemic, we made changes to our office to ensure your confidence in returning to receive healthcare services. The measures we have taken include:
- Mandatory masking for healthcare providers, clinic staff and patients.
- COVID-19 screening questionnaires.
- Hand sanitizer stations in all common use areas and treatment rooms.
- Plexiglass barrier at the front desk.
- Seating arranged to allow 6 feet between patients in waiting room.
- Directional flow of traffic through the clinic.
- Frequent sanitizing of surfaces in common use areas, i.e. waiting rooms, bathrooms, etc.
- Increased sanitizing protocols in all treatment rooms between patients.
- Scheduling considerations to reduce number of patients in waiting room.
- And more, to ensure safety for all patients and staff.
