What To Bring With You On Your First Visit To Emkiro
You generally don’t need to bring anything special on your first visit to Emkiro. You should bring your doctor’s referral, if you have one. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, please wear a mask and sanitize your hands during your visit.
Clothing
You should bring comfortable clothing that would allow your doctor to easily access the problematic area. Some procedures may also require you to wear comfortable clothing that you can move freely in, so it’s recommended to avoid dresses, heels, or clothing that may restrict your movement.
Motor Vehicle Accidents
If you’ve been involved in a motor vehicle accident, you should bring your insurance company’s name, policy number, claim number, as well as the adjuster’s name and telephone number so we can bill your insurance provider.
Booking Your Appointment Online
Creating an account on Emkiro’s Patient Portal is easy and takes only a couple of minutes. Once you login to your account, you can book appointments, review your existing appointments, and more.
New Patient Intake Forms
You can complete your Profile and Intake Forms online on Emkiro’s Patient Portal or you can do it in person using our onsite kiosk after your check-in.
Patient Evaluation
Your initial consultation with one of Emkiro’s healthcare professionals can take up to 60 minutes. Your health care provider will ask you several questions about your medical history, lifestyle, when you first noticed the problem, etc.
Your health care provider will also perform a physical examination, assessing your condition. The health care provider may recommend some diagnostic tests in order to identify the root cause of your problem.
Treatment Plan
After diagnosing your problem, your health care provider will recommend a treatment plan. Our team’s priority is helping you make a swift and complete recovery, so your health care provider may recommend several therapeutic procedures across different specialties, such as combining Physiotherapy with Chiropractic care, or Naturopathic care with Acupuncture.
Your Treatments
After diagnosing your problem and recommending a treatment plan, your health care provider will also start your first treatment. The treatment session can take up to 60 minutes, depending on the techniques and procedures involved. For best results and long-term recovery, follow your treatment plan closely.
After Each Treatment
Our front desk staff will process your insurance claim or payment, and help you find date and time for your next appointment. You can also book your next appointment yourself by logging into the patient portal from any internet-connected device.
