Nicolia Sandiford is a registered Social Worker with over 20 years’ experience. Nicolia has extensive clinical knowledge working with individuals, children, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds. She has worked within various therapeutic settings including child welfare, educational settings, health care and private practice. Professionally, Nicolia is committed to serving the needs of children and families as a clinical social worker and utilizes a multifaceted approach in dealing with issues and recognize that no single approach can fit each individual needs. Nicolia embraces working with individuals where they are in their growth and development, and is trained in an array of modalities, including a holistic approach incorporating CBT, solution-focus therapy, and crisis intervention just to name a few. Nicolia has strong anti-oppressive values that are rooted in principles of honesty, integrity with the commitment of creating a collaborative solution focused environment of transparency, compassion to aid individuals, and families overcome obstacles to move forward and thrive. Outside of work, Nicolia is a wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loves to laugh and make other feel their best self and try not to sweat the small stuff too much. Nicolia believes that we are all on this journey of life together and more than anything, we all have a need to connect and live the best life we can.
